XIGERA’S 5 STAR TENT ARCHITECTURE

SITE LOCATION: Okavango, Botswana

Situated in the western reaches of Botswana’s iconic Moremi Game Reserve, gazing out on the seasonal floodplains of the Okavango Delta, Xigera’s unique location offers unrivaled access to extraordinary tent architecture and safari experiences.

SCOPE OF WORK

Textile Architecture and Engineering

Tenthouse Structures design-engineered, supplied and installed the iconic roof membrane structures for the twelve luxury accommodation suites and nine main areas, together with the canvas envelope interior and exterior walling, ceiling systems and flyouts.

The guiding principle of the project was to be as efficient (lightweight) as possible with no compromise to aesthetics and engineering standards whilst adhering to strict environmental guidelines and Tenthouse Structures successfully delivered a unique roof form that is highly complex and provides superior performance, in this remote wilderness location.

We were further consulted to provide the steel frame modelling and detail for manufacture.
